March Update
Data Bridge Project On Track
The Kintera databridge development team is on track for Phase I and Phase II deadlines which will provide "read" and "write" access to FIMS by 4/24. Phase III (FoundationPower) and Phase IV (cross system integrations, e.g., Kintera to VisionMgr) are still set for 5/26.
Seamless Developments
AST Trust and MicroEdge have just finalized their agreement for the seamless processing API, and both companies have been working substantively since October (when the TSC signed a contract to support development) on the issues associated with managing and interpreting the XML data, reconciliations and balancing. New York Community Trust's seamless solution is up and running, and Marin is expected to go live shortly. In addition, Foundation for the Carolinas is four to six weeks away from a design document for the FIMS Seamless product. Consequently, AST/MicroEdge expect to have something to show in the market "soon."
The TSC Seamless Subcommittee and early adopters of seamless processing will meet in Chicago on March 7 to identify lessons learned that can benefit fast followers. Stay tuned for their report.
TSC Resources Available on CFTech
TSC on-line discussions are leveraging content developed and presented at previous TSC Solution Summits. Sample topics for February includes "A Tale of Two Implementations" in which Liz Marenakos of Blackbaud describes lessons learned in two community foundation implementations and "Self-Service for Constituents Becoming a Reality" in which Marsh Williams of Neulogic describes what self service means for our field and how it works. Check out your options at www.CFTech.org.
